Cedar Ceremony   Saturday, October 3rd, 2026 5 PM / Zeba Hall   General Information:  This healing ceremony is personal to each individual.  It’s a cleansing of grief & trauma in all it’s forms.  Bring your tobacco.  Please maintain 24 hours of sobriety prior to participation, it’s not a judgement of lifestyle, it’s respect for protocol.  The ceremony is open to indigenous participants.   Women are encouraged to wear skirts.  If you don’t have one, come anyway.  If you are on moon, there is a space for you.   Pregnant individuals are asked not to attend. Better Together will meet on Thursday, October 8 at 9:30 at Zion Lutheran Church on 400 Ingot Street in Hancock.  The speaker will be Duffy Lepisto, and she will share touching stories about ministering to the people in Mexico over the past year. Special music will be provided by Carol Jones of Calumet.  All area women are invited to attend this fun and inspiring event. A brunch will be served and there is a suggested donation of $10. Harvest Moon Night Market Returns October 11 with More Whimsy, Art, and Music! Last year’s breakout event, Harvest Moon Night Market, returns to Downtown Calumet on Sunday, October 11 from 4–9 PM, bringing an expanded evening of art, music, film, and autumn enchantment. This year’s event will fill the Calumet Greenspace, Open Space Gallery, and The Calumet Theatre Ballroom, creating a larger, more immersive experience for visitors of all ages.   Guests are invited to wander through a vibrant mix of indoor and outdoor vendor booths featuring local artists, authors, herbalists, farmers, bakers, and makers. Feeding America West Michigan 2026 mobile food pantry distribution Location:  Sacred Heart Church Calumet Category:  Free Community Event Description: A free drive through event at Sacred Heart Church Calumet serving up to 320 households with fresh produce, dairy, grains and other staple food items.  No appointments; no payments; no income verification required. Watch for signs on US 41 and Lake Linden Ave. in Laurium to follow entry and exit of the drive through event.  Volunteers will help direct you and place your food box into your vehicle.
