Northern Michigan University alumni and friends are invited to join President Brock Tessman and fellow Wildcats at a Detroit Red Wings game on Saturday, Nov. 9, for NMU Night at Little Caesars Arena. Alumni Relations will also host a pre-game gathering with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar at the Tin Roof. Those who purchase advance tickets from a designated link will receive a co-branded Wildcats and Red Wings quarter zip. Disney and Pixar’s Finding Nemo JR. is playing at the Forest Roberts Theatre from Thursday, November 7th through Sunday, November 10th. Northern Michigan University Alumni Relations will host a Northern Now digital event for alumni and friends that features a virtual cooking segment with students in NMU’s hospitality leadership program, under the guidance of instructor/chef and 2010 alumna Alden MacDonald. The segment will be available at 7 p.m. EST Wednesday, Nov. 13. Students will prepare dishes that represent them as culinarians, showcasing skills they’ve learned throughout their educational journey at Northern. They will be cooking inside the state-of-the-art kitchen in the Northern Center – the home for the NMU hospitality leadership program – and guests will get a behind-the-scenes look at the facility virtually.     Church cantor and writer, Melanie Coddington, returns to Marquette from her home in central Virginia to lead a free Women’s Day of Reflection on Saturday, November 16 at St. Michael Catholic Parish in Marquette.
