Dead River Bridge Walk for Diabetes

 A Dead River Bridge Walk for Diabetes has been set for Sunday, October 13th, from noon – 3 with walk from 12 to 1pm with options for drawings and resource fair to follow. The event is centered at the picnic area of Marquette Tourist Park, 2145 Sugarloaf Ave. in Marquette, Michigan, hosted by the Marquette Lions Club. Zoom – Battles with Invasive Plants

Three local gardeners will discuss their battles with invasive plants at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, before the regular Keweenaw Wild Ones meeting on Zoom. In “Vinca Wars,” Tom Oliver, Danna Olsen and Marcia Goodrich will describe the techniques they use to rid their yards of creeping myrtle, also known as vinca or periwinkle. A Candidate Forum for candidates running for Negaunee City Council will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at the Negaunee High School Auditorium, 500 W. Arch St. in Negaunee.
