DOWNTOWN DAY September 28, All Day A special day celebrated across Michigan on the fourth Saturday of September to honor and appreciate the unique charm and vitality of our Downtown areas. Take a leisurely stroll along the sidewalks, admire the public art, and soak up the cultural and recreational aspects of your local downtown. This initiative, proposed by the Michigan Downtown Association (MDA), is aimed at promoting local businesses and community engagement.

Marquette County Habitat for Humanity is hosting a square dance at Willow Farm, in Harvey, on Saturday, September 28th, from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM. This high-spirited event will feature live music by the Feltliners, offer a cash bar, fare from the Frenchtastic food truck, auction items. There are only 150 tickets available, with proceeds benefitting Marquette County Habitat for Humanity. Iron Ore Heritage Recreation Authority Monthly Board Meeting

Marquette, MI – The Iron Ore Heritage Recreation Authority is rescheduling its monthly board meeting to Monday, September 30 starting at 4:30pm at the Ishpeming Multi-purpose Senior Center, 121 Greenwood Street, Ishpeming. The IOHRA is the caretaker of the Iron Ore Heritage Trail, a 47-mile, year-round, multi-use, interpretive trail that crosses the Marquette Iron Range in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.  Referred to as an outdoor linear museum where you exercise your body and mind.
