Baraga County Holiday Decor Tours   HALLOWEEN outdoor displays must be engaged from 6pm until 9pm from October 21st through October 31st.   CHRISTMAS outdoor displays must be engaged from 6pm until 9pm from December 14th through January 1st.   Share your holiday spirit and passion for decorating by listing your site on the map!  Participate in Halloween, Christmas, or both!  There is no fee to participate and no fee for maps.  Sites listed on the maps will be entered into drawings for Baraga Bucks!

The Lake Linden-Hubbell Public School will hold their annual Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences on Thursday, November 7, 2024.  Middle School and high school students will be dismissed at 11:44 am.  Elementary students will be dismissed at 11:38 am.  Hot lunch will not be served, but breakfast will be.  conferences for students in grades 6-12 are from 12:30 – 3:30 pm, and from 4:30 – 6:30 pm.  Report cards may be picked up in the principal’s office located on the second floor of the high school  No appointment is needed for conferences for students in grades 6-12.  Elementary conferences are made by

NMU Hosts UPABA Conference

  Northern Michigan University will hold the fourth annual Upper Peninsula Association for Behavior Analysis (UPABA) conference Nov. 7-8. This year’s event focuses on language acquisition strategies and features national speakers, practical workshops and networking opportunities. The goals of the annual conference are to increase knowledge, improve client support and collaborate with institutions for effective care across the Great Lakes region. The number of applied behavior analysis providers in the Upper Peninsula has grown significantly over the last decade. School’s Out, Library’s In: Wish 

 Thursday November 7, 2024. 12:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.. Peter White Public Library Youth Services. Youth of all ages, drop by the library for this special schools’ out day! Crafts and activities available for drop-in participation between 12pm-5pm. There will be Bubble Wrap Painting, Thanksgiving cards and more going on in the Youth Services Room. ‘Refugee Voices of Resilience Event’ at NMU

  Northern Michigan University will host a public panel presentation titled “Refugee Voices of Resilience” on Thursday, Nov. 7. Former refugees and migrants who now serve in government, humanitarian and educational roles will share their journeys to where they are today, highlighting their work in supporting vulnerable communities and giving back. Finding Nemo Jr

Disney and Pixar’s Finding Nemo JR. is playing at the Forest Roberts Theatre from Thursday, November 7th through Sunday, November 10th. The charming 60-minute musical, designed for middle school-aged performers, is based on the beloved 2003 Pixar film Finding Nemo. SAY Theater’s 8th grade and under cast includes over 60 students. “We are thrilled to dive into the big blue world of Disney and Pixar’s Finding Nemo JR!” said Becky Heldt, SAY Theater’s Executive Director “This production is full of fun and great music for the whole family, we are excited to share this heartwarming tale with our community”.   This new stage musical is
