There will be over 20 crafters and vendors for all your gift giving needs. The Holiday Craft Show will be in the Gay Community Hall. The Michigan Tech Mind Trekkers, UP Michigan Works!, the MiSTEM Network, and the OneUP Collaborative invite you to participate in the 2024 OneUP Copper Trail Festival, a STEM and career expo for middle school students! The event will be hosted on Tuesday, December 10th from 8:30am-2:30pm in the Michigan Tech SDC Varsity Gym. We believe STEM should be accessible to everyone, and this event is offered at no cost to schools or exhibitors, but we need your help to make it possible. Free Thanksgiving meal Reserve by calling (906) 201-0300 (be sure to leave your name and phone # when calling) Pick up at L’Anse Methodist Church, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on 11/28 (Thanksgiving Day) Meal includes turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing, corn, beans, dinner roll, and dessert Volunteers are also welcome. Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly will be hosting their annual Thanksgiving Dinner Parties on Thanksgiving Day at 1pm at multiple sites throughout five counties. They invite people age 60 and older who will be alone on the holiday to attend. Admission is free. Volunteers are needed to help prepare the meal, package meals, setup the dining hall, serve, cleanup, and celebrate the holiday with their elderly neighbors.
