Ontonagon – Lower Dam Removal Project

Trout Unlimited volunteer event On October 14th.   Location:   Lower Dam removal project on the East Branch of the Ontonagon River near Kenton, MI Volunteers will be working to restore riparian areas that were recently disturbed by dam removal construction work. Zoom – Battles with Invasive Plants

Three local gardeners will discuss their battles with invasive plants at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, before the regular Keweenaw Wild Ones meeting on Zoom. In “Vinca Wars,” Tom Oliver, Danna Olsen and Marcia Goodrich will describe the techniques they use to rid their yards of creeping myrtle, also known as vinca or periwinkle.
