Downtown Marquette welcomes everyone for the start of the annual sled dog race, which runs down Washington Street before heading out to Alger County.

  Northern Michigan University will host a heated hospitality tent for the general public near the starting gate of the UP 200 Powered by NMU sled dog race on Friday, Feb. 14. NMU will also host a warm-up party at the Trenary Toast Café. The tent will be open from 6-8:30 p.m. next to the old City Hall on Washington Street. Admission is free.
