Copper Shores Outreach & Education is hosting a free two-day Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) on Monday, October 28 and Tuesday, October 29 at the MUB Alumni Lounge on Michigan Tech’s campus. This two day workshop runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day, teaching people the skills the help prevent suicide, and how to intervene to help keep someone safe from suicide.   Those who partake in ASIST include both trained professionals and members of the general public. Iron Ore Heritage Recreation Authority Monthly Board Meeting

Marquette, MI – The Iron Ore Heritage Recreation Authority is rescheduling its monthly board meeting to Monday, September 30 starting at 4:30pm at the Ishpeming Multi-purpose Senior Center, 121 Greenwood Street, Ishpeming. The IOHRA is the caretaker of the Iron Ore Heritage Trail, a 47-mile, year-round, multi-use, interpretive trail that crosses the Marquette Iron Range in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.  Referred to as an outdoor linear museum where you exercise your body and mind. NMU Jazz Ensembles to Perform

  Northern Michigan University’s jazz ensembles will return to the Reynolds Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30 for their first concert of the fall 2024 season. This event is free and open to the public.
