Walk for the Wild 5K Challenge at Seney National Wildlife Refuge.

October 12 @ 9:30 am1:00 pm

Join thousands of people across the U.S. who are walking to celebrate the awe and wonder found on the more than 570 national wildlife refuges across the country, including Seney National Wildlife Refuge!
Walk with us on Saturday, October 12. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m., and the walk will begin at 10:00 a.m. Can’t physically be there?  Register and walk in a favorite nature space near you.
The walk is free and open to everyone. It’s a great opportunity to support wildlife conservation, connect with the great outdoors, and boost physical and mental well-being.  A win-win-win!
Find more information on the Seney National Wildlife Refuge’s homepage under events. www.fws.gov/refuge/seney/events
The walk will begin at the Northern Hardwoods trailhead on Robinson Street in Germfask, where walkers can choose a 5k adventure loop through a beautiful forest, or the more accessible Otter Run road route, which lets you turn back at any point, and is accessible for strollers, wagons, and other wheels
This is a fun walk! The event is not timed, and there will be treats at the finish line. Dressing like your favorite “wild thing” is encouraged! “Puddles”, the official mascot of the National Wildlife Refuge System, will also be joining us. Participants can join in a BioBlitz and kids can earn a Junior Ranger badge while completing the walk route. Details will be available at the Northern Hardwoods trailhead on walk day.
