League of Women Voters of Marquette County General Meeting

The League of Women Voters of Marquette County will hold its next general membership meeting on Wednesday, February 5th at 6:45 p.m. Social time begins at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in Studio 1 on the Lower Level of the Peter White Public Library, 217 N. Front St., Marquette.
Following a short business meeting, Caroline LaPorte, the department head of the Center for Native American Studies at NMU will present on missing and murdered indigenous women and relatives (MMIWR) in the United States.
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
