“We are ecstatic to bring Fresh Coast back to the community for our 8th annual festival,” states Bugsy Sailor, Fresh Coast co-founder. “We’ve long spoken about the resilient spirit of the Great Lakes region, and bringing the festival back is a perfect example of the resilience in our community. Our tradition of storytelling continues, with another 85+ films from filmmakers we’ve had before, and entirely new filmmakers. Fresh Coast has a number of films for every outdoor, adventure, and documentary-loving person. We can’t wait to see everyone on the Fresh Coast this October.”
Throughout Fresh Coast’s eight-year history, the festival has inspired attendees to interact with the landscape of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula in new ways. A key component of the Fresh Coast experience will be guided outdoor activities to introduce visitors to the outdoor playground of the Marquette area. Rock climbing, a variety of scenic and history hikes, and even a harbor boat tour will all be offered as part of the Fresh Coast weekend.
