2027 Yooper Poker Run Expands Across Michigan’s Western U.P.

The 2027 Yooper Poker Run is expanding into a month-long, region-wide event, bringing together nearly 50 businesses from Ironwood to Copper Harbor in support of our local snowmobile clubs and communities.

Where:  AJ’s Lodge & Oven on Lake Gogebic

When: February 13, 2027

Originally created by AJ’s Lodge & Oven in 2024 during the memorable “Winter That Wasn’t,” the Yooper Poker Run has grown into a regional initiative in partnership with the Gogebic Range Trail Authority (GRTA).

The fourth annual event, which kicks off February 13, 2027, has received support from Congressman Jack Bergman and State Representative Greg Markkanen, recognizing the importance of snowmobiling, small businesses, and winter tourism to our region.

The celebration will culminate on March 13 at AJ’s Lodge & Oven on Lake Gogebic, featuring our signature Groomer Bartending© competition, where snowmobile club groomers compete to raise funds for their clubs.

Attached is our official press release, including comments from Congressman Bergman, Representative Markkanen, GRTA President Jerry Nezworski, and Western U.P. Trail Report’s “Stretch.”
