Death with Dignity Presentation and Conversation

Our League is hosting a presentation and conversation about Death with Dignity, also called Medical Assistance in Dying, on Thursday evening, November 12th, from 6:30 to 8:00 at 5th and Elm in Hancock. Linda Belote will speak about legislation that will be introduced in the Michigan legislature in 2027, and Fredi deYampert will focus on the ethics involved in a change in policy. Thirteen states and Canada currently allow Death with Dignity. Attendees will be encouraged to share their experiences with people whose options were limited at the end of their lives.
